The Chantoozies latest tour in 2018, Motown and Beyond shows The Chantoozies getting back to their roots, exploring the songs that they first started singing back in the clubs and pubs in the mid-1980s – the songs that drew audiences to them in the very beginning.

 

The show, which effortlessly blends retro cool with a contemporary edge, focuses on some of the greatest songs from the women of Motown – songs penned by women (for some of the great male performers and groups of the time), produced by women and sung by women. For the group, they wanted to embrace the era of women empowerment, something that is at the heart of what The Chantoozies do as performers themselves. Add to that a new single, Take Me In Your Arms, a cover of the Kim Weston classic set for release in the near future, and it’s fair to say The Chantoozies are back and they are ready to party.
